Review: Okay, so the title and the cover just completely grabbed me. What’s not to love about castles and cats? And title certainly doesn’t exaggerate just how many cats there are!
With a summary like that, one’d presume the story was told in either a third person narrator, or in the king’s point of view. However it’s in the cats! Full of rhyme and once again, of course, easy language, pretty sure this will delight anyone. The solution to the King’s problem was unique and very cute, and rather satisfactory.
Now, as great as the story line and rhyme were in this, the real treat was the gorgeous artwork. Every page is meticulously drawn and painted, and so much details of what any cat or kitten is doing at any moment! Very colorful, from the cats to the fashion, to the backgrounds of the castle. I certainly wouldn’t mind a few pages of these as prints.
This is certainly one for the collections, for both cat lovers and non cat lovers alike!
I’d like to thank the publisher via Edelweiss for allowing me a digital ARC of this.
Cover: The cover is gorgeous digitally, and having seen it physically, even more so in person! It prepares you for the gorgeous illustrations inside but definitely doesn’t yet prepare you for the amount of cats! I love how detailed and colorful the cover is, but not insanely busy either. And the title design completely works, especially with the little kitties climbing all over it, haha.
